This is an authentic antique map by George Clason, an interesting figure who founded his own cartography company, and who published the first road atlases of the USA and Canada. His maps are attractive and highly detailed for their time, showing cities and counties, roads along with topographical features. An index showing cities and towns along with their respective population figures is on the right border.

Though known for his cartography, he is perhaps better known for his series of informational pamphlets about the importance of being thrifty in accumulating wealth. He started writing his essays in 1926 using parables set in ancient Babylon. These essays were later compiled into the book The Richest Man in Babylon. First editions of this book are highly collectible.

Condition: This map is in B condition with toning and paper breaks, primarily along the fold lines. The breaks have been repaired on the verso using archival materials.
