Vibrant colors are used throughout the map, highlighting the wide variety of physical and cultural geography of the island, with major roads delineated, and points of interest both historical and modern all noted. The volcanoes of the island are beautifully depicted, with curious sightseers peering into two of them, while a carefree fellow on a toboggan coasts down the snowy side of Mauna Kea.
